Vibroplex

This key came to me from a very good friend. This is a WWII key, that was given to my friend by his Father when he was a very young man. His adolescent brain told him that painting the key red, with spray paint, would be a very good idea. I understand that his Father nearly passed out when he saw the results of the spray painting session. Years later my friend attempted to get the red paint off, and he did a fairly good job, but it ended up in my shop for the last bit of work. Note the Japanessing on the base plate. I did this by hand using tape as a guide. The marks in the corners were done free hand.

Original shot of the key with remenants of red paint still attached

Broken down and ready for a complete restoration
